A PLATFORM TO HELP THOSE WHO SAVE OTHERS

For the next six weeks the Piha Surf Life Saving Club (PSLSC) has been transformed in to a pop-up gallery housing ten images by ten globally recognised surf, travel and lifestyle photographers inspired by their individual time shooting in New Zealand.

Currently fundraising for a major redevelopment of their facilities, PSLSC welcomes the Corona Extra curated ‘NZ Perspectives’ exhibition and auction to help generate much needed funds this summer, while capturing the spirit of “From Where You’d Rather Be”

Playing a vital role at one of NZ’s most iconic surf beaches the PSLSC fundraising drive resonated with all of the photographers involved in the exhibition due to their association with our beautiful coastline at some stage over their careers.

Each piece has been professionally framed and displayed at the Surf Club and will be available to bid on via Trademe auction from 20th Feb, with all proceeds raised being donated back to the club.

As well as the exhibition, Corona has created a temporary deck at the front of the Club – so visitors can enjoy the sun setting over Piha from a prime position. All proceeds from the sale of Corona will contribute to the fundraising efforts of the PSLSC.

The deck will be open from 4.30pm – Sunset every Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Both the exhibition and the deck are open now and end on Sunday 1st March.

“Our surf club is well-known for helping save the lives of those that get into difficulty at Piha. Working in partnership with Corona, we’re aiming to raise vital funds for the redevelopment of our club, helping build a better future for both our local community and vistors to the beach,” says Peter Brown, President of Piha Surf Life Saving Club.
