Along with our photos we made a little clip of Matt Bell from Mount Maunganui, and his pet surfing Piglet named Zorro he’s been taking surfing! According to Matt, Zorro is 2 months old and has been surfing for half of his life already. Matt thought it would be a cool idea to see if he loved the water when he first got him, and Zorro has been surfing ever since!
Something like this was bound to get quick attention from the media, so Matt is hoping to bring some positive attention to Sea Bed Mining in NZ and the KASM project, which we think is pretty awesome. If you want to find out more about the KASM efforts head to the website here kasm.org.nz
DGZ issue 03 will also have a 4 page article on seabed mining in NZ so stay tuned. Photos by Rambo Estrada and Jereme Aubertin
