The Waxhead (Matt Chonjacki) made the journey from his home in Sydney to spend some time designing a few new surfboards with Bob Mctavish. The board in question here is a new creation which borrows its template off one of Bobs personal boards from 1966. 9’5 x 22 1/2″ a tad longer and sleeker with less hip than the typical involvement style boards.
And for those of you grommies who may be asking who the heck Bob is; well, he is the very reason why you are riding your shortboard today. One the key players in the shortboard revolution & the inventor of the V- bottom.
