Raglan native, graphic designer and contemporary artist, Sam Mathers, has been busy lately. With several big name commissions (Saatchi & Saatchi, Red Bull ) and numerous solo & colab exhibitions around NZ, Sam finally made the move offshore for the month of November to complete a Mural for the San Diego New School of Architecture.
The mural was commissioned to celebrate the launch of several new global design education initiatives at New School of Architecture and Design (NSAD) in San Diego. They are the result of collaborations with Domus Academy in Italy and Media Design School New Zealand.
Sam also managed to fit a Cali road trip in after the unavailing; teeing up with legendary Santa Cruz Skate artist, Jim Phillips, in his home town of Santa Cruz.
